1) What cookies are

2) The cookies we use
We use only strictly necessary first-party cookies, set by our own Website. No third party sets cookies here, and no cookie is used for analytics, advertising or tracking.

Purpose: remembers the language (English or Bulgarian) you selected with the language switcher, so that pages are shown in that language. It is set only when you click the switcher; nothing is stored before you make a choice.

Purpose: remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner so that we do not ask again. It contains the banner version and the categories you allowed, for example "v1|necessary".

Purpose: keeps a member of our staff signed in to the administration area. It is set only after a staff login; ordinary visitors never receive it. Flags: HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax.

We do not use browser local storage or session storage.
3) Analytics and marketing cookies
None are used. The "Analytics" and "Marketing" switches in the cookie banner exist so that, if we ever introduce such tools, they can start only after you have switched them on. Until then the switches have no effect. We will update this policy before adding any such tool.
4) Your choices
You can review or change your choice at any time by clicking "Manage cookie preferences" in the footer of every page. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting: use "Reject all", or switch a category off and save. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block the strictly necessary cookies, your language choice will not be remembered and staff login will not work.
5) Legal basis and records
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and the Bulgarian Electronic Communications Act. The site_locale cookie is set only as a direct result of your own action. When you make a choice in the banner, we keep a record of it for 3 years, as described in section 3C of our Privacy Policy.
